Ramen at Alkaline
Ramen is one of those dishes I consider to be comfort food. It’s like chicken noodle soup but extra.
Since moving six months ago, I have been trying to find new places to go besides my old stomping grounds. It’s funny how often we go back to the known and familiar. After all, why not? It’s comfortable even if it means driving 18+ miles one way.
Today, I had an errand to run and decided to have lunch at a restaurant I had never been to before. I found a modern Asian restaurant known for their Ramen and, with the weather turning chilly again, that sounded perfect.
What would you order?
I ordered the Miso Ramen with Soy Pickled Mushrooms. Oh. My. Goodness. It was delicious. After stirring in the sous vide egg, the miso became a creamy broth that created that comforting feeling that chicken noodle soup brings.
